I once got hired in a group of part timers. I saw one lady fired on the spot (again hired part time, no benefits) because she already had another job. In the end they had me working 10 days in a row with 2 off and wouldnt give me vacation time. Wal mart can suck a fat one.

Absolutely hate how fortnite blocks selectable styles for XP once the time period is over. I went from 10th grade to adulthood on that game and didn’t always have the time to finish events. The fact that you can still see the styles in the locker with a lock over it is messed up 😂

That’s why I dropped Apex, used to be so fun but I would only play cuz of the battle pass. The same goes for D2. I just couldn’t keep grinding ever 3 months or justify spending 70 dollars for a mediocre story. And Gacha games too. It’s so much work to grind currency just for the character I got last month to not be good 6 months later. Life is so much more fun without it.

I'm 26, and Ive worked at Amazon for 4 yrs. At first, the schedule was good, the work was easy, and all I did was listen to music to get by. After I started vaping, I realized it wasn't worth it. I quit vaping, and I told my managers to screw off. I started standing up for myself, and everyone looked at me cross eyed. Im tired of not being valued for my efforts when I've made them very clear.

I work in retail now, have done customer service or worked directly with the public…. People make me question how they exist and on my days off I don’t want to deal with anyone. If I have to run errands or interact with people I try to keep it brief and always have headphones in because I don’t even want to overhear the nonsense

Great video man. I am in that burnt out state myself. Not alot of games out there I find interesting. One exception is Helldivers 2. They have battle passes that never expire and the game is cheap. You can also earn the currency just for playing the game. Arrow head are the exception to the rule.

Where I worked, the official reason for scheduling retail employees like this was that they allocated hours based on customer counts and projected trends. I was not so convinced. I think there's a more insidious bit of social engineering to it. How do you manage turnover in a high turnover industry? You do this to your employees. You keep them stressed, exhausted, constantly walking on eggshells, afraid to have their hours cut, cut off from friends and family and the normal rhythms of life outside of the store, and - crucially - unable to reliably schedule second jobs, interviews, education, or anything else that might improve their lot. My friend and I saw this job was like the abusive ex-boyfriend of jobs. I mean, holidays aren't even holidays for you. They're just days when work is harder. Between the constant risk of verbal abuse from customers and utterly de-humanizing tactics like this from employers, staff are demoralized and made to feel like the lowest of the low - like they should be grateful for this crappy job because if they struggle with this, how on earth could they ever do anything more? That's how you keep staff. And then, the day they snap, you fire them. Or, after they sacrifices their entire holiday season to you, you lay them off in January.

I work at Target, (been working for 7 months, now) It's not a bad place to work at, and I do enjoy doing guest service. The customers are nice. However, what I dislike about the place is how you're not allowed to listen to music (even with one ear bud), I have to stand in front of the check lane whenever there are no guests and I can't do anything other than stand there, can't read a book, a magazine, or check my phone. The main qualm I have about Target is how dead and bland everything looks, the store is just a flat red and gray color and everything has this sort of "flat" "bland" look that doesn't look all that inviting and quite frankly makes me exhausted and depressed. I also wished there were more windows, so I can see some sunlight. (our bodies are not designed to spend 8 hours sitting in flat, UV less, artificial light.) The Zebra (an Android device made for enterprise workloads) can be quite slow, and the scanner sometimes doesn't work (though restarting the Myday app usually fixes it). Also, because Target has been some of the self-checkouts (due to theft), it can be quite demanding as a cashier. (I just wished they'd hired more people) Now that's not to say that target is a bad place, it's actually a pretty good starting place as you are getting more than double the minimum wage, a storewide 10% discount (though you can't use a debit/credit card on it), 20% on wellness items, additionally Target (if working 20+ hours) will give you medical insurance (vision, dental, physical, mental), Auto and Home Insurance, paid family leave, tobacco quitting programs, as well as tuition-free and capped programs for education (great for high schoolers and college students) I'm not saying Target is a bad place to work at (far from it), I just think that Target, Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, and other retailers should improve their stores so that it's more inviting, and improve management/ hire more workers.

But I really haven't invested anytime into multiplayer gaming since Master Chief collection up until a year ago. I don't even use Xbox live anymore. Gaming is not a useful way to spend my free time on this earth, I need to make some real life friends while I still have time... And I need help doing that

Me and the gf used to play Overwatch 1 all the time. We'd get our weekly 3 loot boxes and be done and it was fun. But Overwatch 2 and it's battle pass system is so freaking un-enjoyable and you have to play SO MUCH for minimal reward unless you actually pay $15 for the battle pass is ridiculous. So now we just don't play at all. Sorry but we cannot make this game our full time job in our free time.

Worked retail in my 20's before on line shopping existed at the Clinique counter it was brutal. Felt like a indentured servant. Now work in healthcare which is a even worse hell.

Honestly battle passes wouldn’t be bad if they weren’t time limited.

I honestly just quit Fortnite after only starting it recently for this very reason. I did two of the battlepasses and then just realized I didn't feel like doing anymore. Quit Marvel Puzzle Quest because you have to grind so much every day for minimal rewards. Crap has just been getting in the way of me playing games I can complete.

Yeah just quit wow again. I've actually not been gaming nearly like I used to. I'm just bored of the games out there anymore. I'm selling my consoles and just keeping my pc. I NEVER ever use then anymore.

I disagree battle pass is like Fortnite in call of duty at least give you 2 to 3 months and a half to reach the goal of unlocking everything in it or at least half the shit that you want and you can buy levels or buy the whole damn thing at once and it’s the same thing with subscriptions for Hulu and Netflix. If you know you can’t pay the bill next month you gotta watch all the shows that you say you wanted to watch right away before the subscription runs out. It’s the same exact thing. But you have a month to do so a little less than the battle pass, which gives you 2 to 3 months to do what you need to do but yeah if you’re buying battle passes on the games, you play every day with your friends that shits gonna go by super quick and you’re gonna level up super quick, but if it’s a game, you have to force yourself to a battle pass just to get a certain skin from a TV show or a game game you’re not gonna play it as much as you normally do with your games Main games it’s not a job to play games only stupid people feel that way because you don’t wanna play the game anymore it’s simple, not rocket science

Its not just restaurants. I work in a car wash and thew way it works is people pull up, we load them in the wash, pre wash them with brushes and send em thru the automatic wash after that, when they are out of the tunnel, its common for people to go to the vacuums and spend 30 minutes to an hour at the vacuums. We do the same thing as far as trying to get out at a good time. We gotta close the registers, clean the vacuums, do a lot sweep, restock towels and refill bottles, throw away all the trash, clean the lobby and the bathroom, and finally CLEAN THE TUNNLE. To pressure wash this tunnel, if your doing it right, its gonna take around 45 minutes. Because the floor gets horrible and it needs pressure washed. Otherwise it gets caked with black shit and people start to slip and get hurt. Easily an hour worth of closing duties. We also typically start these duties around 30 minutes to close. And every single night we get not one or two, but numerous people who pull up, pay at the kiosk and then swoop around for a wash while we are cleaning. They take their car thru the tunnle which blows all the crap you just cleaned back on the fucking walls, spreads soap all over the floor again. Then they pull around and fill up two or three god damn trash cans with garbage and leave our vacuum hoses on the fucking ground, throw away our towels, steal our cleaner bottles. Nd we ALWAYS get a couple right around 2 minutes to close. Honestly, I quit being nice at 7:55. If you pull in, idc what the fuck you paid, your not even getting pre washed, im sending you thru the wash dry and then when you dumbass pulls around to the vacuum im shutting that hoe off at 8 on the fucking dot. Idc how much crap you got in your car, or what your situation is. Every one has a sob story, everyone has an excuse when the reality of it 9 times out of 10 is your just a shitty person with horrible time management skills and the mental aptitude of a DOG. Wanna complain? Come back tomorrow. It pisses me off, cause I always think about a businesses closing hours when I'm making the decision to do something last minute. If its a place that's about to close in a hour or less, I don't do it! Instead I schedule it into the next day and make sure I do it early as possible the following day. Working retail is like trying to do a mundane task repeatedly everyday barely being compensated for it, getting no leadership and mixed messages from corporate and upper management, and then while you're trying to do your mundane task you have to deal with people who constantly demand your attention are entitled and generally assholes, and to top it all off you get in trouble for not completing your task fast enough and also for negatively interacting with the "customer" which having to deal with the customer can cause you to bot be able to complete your task but you still are expecting to do both. It's absurd and you are barely paid for it.
